Kayleigh Buchele RVN

Registered Veterinary Nurse
Deputy Head Nurse, Head of Nursing Department - Consult Nursing

Experience
I started working in practice in 2004, in a mixed practice.  I studied at Writtle College and qualified in 2008.  I continued working there until 2013 when I moved to Millennium Vets. I was promoted to Deputy Head Nurse in 2017 and as part of this role I am also Head of Department for our Consulting.

Interests
Though I am interested in all aspects of nursing I am particularly interested in endocrinology and nurse consulting.  I take an active role in nutrition having done many courses on the subject. Kidney disease is a big passion of mine too having a cat with it at an unexpected age.  I also organise veterinary referrals coming to us from other practices across Essex

Activities
I have two pets. A cat called Charles, he was involved in a road traffic accident and needed his pelvis repaired.   We did this but no one came forward to claim him and I took him on, nursed him and kept him!! I have had Spud since he was 7 weeks old.  He was dumped and had a deformed front leg, he is one lovely little cross-bred. My hobbies are baking and reading. I did jump out of a plane once on a tandem parachute but never again!!
