Outside of our opening hours, (which includes all day Sunday, Bank Holidays and practice events where closure is necessary) your calls will be automatically transferred to Vets Now Emergency Service, in Witham.

During opening hours your pet will be given an urgent appointment for triage with a vet or qualified nurse. After our opening hours, the same contact number will connect you to VETS NOW emergency clinic.
Vets Now is a dedicated emergency out of hours service. You will be advised which clinic to attend in the event of an emergency. The Vets Now out of hours fee is £231.75 with additional consult fee of £77.25 (correct 11.12.2023) For further information please visit their website - click here. While Vets Now will not have access to your pet's clinical records, they do send the history through to us the next day so we can continue your pet's care. If they need a follow up appointment please ring us as soon as you can. If you pet was admitted at Vets Now you will need to transport them back to us - please ring when you are on your way so we can make the necessary arrangements. For
We never move our patients to the emergency clinic premises. All patients that need hospitalisation and are presented to our practice during our opening hours, will be cared for on-site. Our duty nurse cares for our patients until 10pm and where necessary returns throughout the night. But if your pet is critically ill, arrangements can be made for the nurse on duty and at times the vet, to stay with your pet and nurse them throughout the night. They will then hand over to our day time staff to ensure continuity of care.
Vets Now fees will be advised when you call. VetsNow emergency out of hours and consultation fees will apply as a minimum.
