Hugo is one of our staff dogs here at millennium and his owner kindly volunteered Hugo to donate blood to provide one of our inpatients with this important life support treatment.

Hugo donated 300ml of his blood.  This was taken from his jugular vein in his neck.  He was a very brave boy and kept very quiet and still for the whole procedure.  The blood transfusions was then given to one of our critically ill patients to replace a lack of red blood cells.

Due to Hugo's bravery he was awarded a MVP Pet Bravery Certificate to mark his achievement.   Thank you Hugo!
