|
Tyson, a 6 year old boxer, was presented with lameness of both hindlimbs. On clinical examination he was found to have signs consistent with cranial cruciate ligament disease, which caused instability off his left knee (stifle).
Tyson had a surgical procedure to correct the dynamic instability know as a Modified Maquet Procedure (MMP). This is a variation of the Tibial Tuberosity Advancement Procedure (TTA).
The radiographs above show:
- Tyson's stifle before his operation
- Immediately post-op
- Tyson's repaired stifle 6 weeks post operation
Tyson is now without lameness despite having pre-existing osteoarthritis.
